The U.S. Ukraine Foundation (“USUF,” “we,” “us,” and “Organization”) places a high priority on protecting your privacy.  This Privacy Policy was created in order to demonstrate USUF’s commitment to the privacy of our members and website users, and explains what types of information is collected by USUF’ website, www.usukraine.org, and how this information is used.

What Information is Collected

Like many other websites, we automatically collect information about your internet connection, such as the IP address of the server you used to access the internet; the name of the website from which you linked directly to our website; the date and time you access our website; and the pages you visit.  This “Non-Personal Information” does not identify you personally.

USUF members that register for and individuals that sign up to receive USUF’s e-mail communications voluntarily provide us with “Personal Information” (such as name and e-mail address).  By providing such information, you consent to our collection and use of it, as described in this Privacy Policy.  We do not collect any “Personal Information” about you when you visit our website unless you give us that information.

How Your Information May Be Used

We use “Non-Personal Information” to monitor the effectiveness of our website, identify areas of interest, and consider potential improvements to our website.  It also lets us provide aggregate data about our traffic (not identifying you personally, but showing how many visitors used which features, for example) to outside parties.

We use your “Personal Information” to provide you with personalized service; to send e-mail alerts to you; to answer your requests; to process your membership application; etc.  You may choose to opt out at any time, which will cease all communications from us.

Sharing Your Information

USUF does not provide, sell, or rent email addresses to anyone outside the organization.

IP Addresses

USUF uses your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and for statistical metrics used to track website visitor traffic.

Cookies

USUF uses “cookie” messages to enhance your visits our website.  They remind us who you are and your preferences for our website based on what you’ve done and told us before.  The “cookie” is placed in your computer and is read when you come back to our website.  Cookies let us take you to the information and features you are particularly interested in.  They also let us track your usage of www.usukraine.org, so we know which parts of our sites are most popular.  You can reject cookies or cancel them by instructing your Web browser accordingly.

www.usukraine.org includes links to external websites.  These links do not fall under USUF’s domain, and the Organization is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of external websites.  Your use of any linked website is solely at your own risk.

Modifications

USUF reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy.  Any changes will be posted to this page as soon as reasonably possible.  Your continued use of our website will be deemed to be your agreement to the changed terms.
